4th Edition - The Gifts & Home Décor Trade Fair 2010 Enter

With the success of organizing the trade fair for 3 consecutive years and gaining sound reputation from the industry, the 4th Shanghai International Gift & Home Décor Trade Fair was once again being held from August 5-8, 2010. The fair started its 1st edition in year 2007 with only 231 exhibitors with 423 booths and attracted 23,434 visitors. It grew over the years and this year had attracted 517 exhibitors with 838 booths and 34,083 visitors. The fair has constantly grows in terms of scale and quality and has become the largest professional Gift & Home Décor Trade Fair in Eastern China, especially in the Yangtze River Delta Region. The fair creates a trade platform for all parties involve in the gift & home décor industry.

 

This year was also the 2nd time that Business Guide Sha (BGS) – Tokyo Gift Show organizer organizes its overseas show in the company history participating in the Shanghai Gift Fair and had expanded its size twice bigger than the previous year. The uniqueness of the Japanese products in the fair had attracted visitors and buyers from various business nature covering wholesalers, Retailers, Dept. Stores, Boutique Stores and online shops. Besides the show, BGS exhibitors also took part in the B-match program looking for buyers and commercial paths into the China market. BGS had confirmed to continue co-operating with Shanghaimart for many more years to come in building the bridge for Japanese gifts & home décor products penetrating into the China market.

 

2010 was called as “World Expo year” in Shanghai, since the 2010 World Expo participated by 246 countries was held here in Shanghai. The World Expo has attracted millions of visitors from all over the world visiting the event and Shanghai. In order to associate with such a great event, a Theme pavilion of “World Expo” was formed and has created another major highlight in the 4th Shanghai International Gift & Home Décor Trade Fair showcasing all the World Expo gifts.

3rd Edition - The Gifts & Home Décor Trade Fair 2009 Enter

The 3rd International Gift & Home Décor Trade Fair 2009 won a big success when it drew down its curtain on the 9th August 2009 after a 4 days exhibition at Shanghaimart – 2 days (B-to-B) and 2 days (B-to-C). Occupying a gross space of approximately 20,000 sqm, the 3rd edition fair has attracted near 500 exhibitors covering near 800 exhibition booths, a tremendous increase from the previous year (2nd edition) and become the biggest gifts expo in the Eastern China. More than 26,000 visitors attended the fair and more and more events and major highlights were brought into the fair creating bigger attraction such as the theme and international pavilions.

 

 

 

Visitors Arrival

The 3 Theme pavilions are the major highlights of the 2009 fair - Tokyo gift pavilion, World Expo pavilion and Ceramic pavilion, with each has its own specialty and characteristics.

 
(1)Tokyo Pavilion
Tokyo International Gift Fair is one of the top gift fairs in the world, featuring a great selection of innovative & trendy Japanese gifts. This is the very first time that Tokyo Gift Fair participated overseas. The pavilion has attracted the most visitors who attended the fair.

 

 
(2)World Expo 2010 Pavilion
  1. This pavilion showcase the most complete World Expo licensed products, such as: Ceramics, Glazed color-glass, Metal Arts & Crafts, toys and many other originally designed products. This pavilion received great demand where everyone is looking forward to the opening of the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai next year.

 

 
(3)Ceramic pavilion

A great selection of exquisite ceramic products from 4 of China’s most renowned ceramic cities, inclusive of the Celaden Porcelain, Yellow Porcelain, Red Porcelain and many more.

 

 

In conjunction to the trade fair, a total of 30 events & activities including seminars and workshops have taken place. One of the major highlight was the B-Match event which sees multinational companies participation such as Adidas, Whirlpool, Schneider Electric, Akzo Nobel and Li & Fung Sourcing Company. The B-Match has received very positive response from both the buyers and suppliers.

 

With the great success in organizing the 3rd edition of the fair this year, the show has developed great confidence and had once again prove to be one of the best Gift & Home Décor trade fair in the Eastern China. The 2010 fair will be concentrating on improving the quality and quantity of buyers attending the fair as well as increasing the international participation i.e. cities/countries pavilion.

 
 
2nd Edition - The Gifts & Home Décor Trade Fair 2008 Enter

The 2nd edition of the fair came even stronger. In that year, China is hosting the whole world awaited Beijing Olympic Games which has created great demand and opportunity in the gift and souvenir market. The 2008 fair gathered all the best players in the gift industry – a total of 570 exhibitors attracted 24,800 visitors to Shanghaimart. It was also the first time that Shanghaimart proposed the concept of “2-hour radius” buyers, meaning cities or regions within distance of 2 hours (by any traffic methods) to Shanghai as the targeted buyers. With this concept, more and more exhibitors from cities within the vicinity of 2 hours radius are coming for the gala, such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Beijing, Guangdong, or even Japan and Korea.

 







 
 
1st Edition - The Gifts & Home Décor Trade Fair 2007 Enter

The fair was held from August 29th - September 1st, 2007 with intention of creating a trade platform for the gift industry in Eastern China. The fair was well accepted with overwhelming demand. The show has achieved a scale of 450 booths in its 1st year and turned out to be an excellent show with high-quality exhibitors and well organized events. The fair has also attracted a total of 20,800 visitors from home and abroad. From then on, people in the industry started to pay more attention to this fair in Eastern China.
